We’ve gotten to see more then our fair share of caffeinated goodies here at DeskApe. That said, when is enough really enough? When caffeine is involved, we say NEVER!
We waited with baited breath to check out the caffeinated baked goods from A Snack in the Face, and it was worth every stirring moment of anticipation. See the moist yummies in the picture? Each 4 ounce snack contains a whopping 200 mg of caffeine and oddly enough, you can’t actually taste it. All you get is brownie or cookie deliciousness.
The caffeine content is equal to that of two 8 oz cups of brewed coffee, one Rockstar Energy Shot, or a 16 ounce TAPOUT. (Which tend to make my teeth buzz afterwords)
So when looking at goodies like this, there are three main categories to check out. Flavor, Jolt & Hype.
Flavor:
We got to check out both the Brownies and the Chocolate Chip Cookie Squares. The brownies are moist and delicious and have that thin, crunchy crust on top that only brownies perfect. The Chocolate Chip Cookies are moist on the inside, crumbly on the outside. (Perfect dipping cookies!) It is very tempting to dunk them in morning coffee, for a jolt on top of a jolt.
Jolt:
While you don’t taste the caffine right away, and it doesn’t knock you out of your chair instantly, the buzz sneaks up on you and before you know it your fingers are flying across the keyboard, your talking faster, and you get a great wake-up call.
Hype:
Everything about A Snack in The Face jumps up and down and screams PR REP’s DREAM!!! The logo, a simple but affective hand with caffeine molecule palmistry, is both professional and witty. The small boxes the sweets are contained in are simple, single color printing that look great with the product.
